Warm Tips
1. Don’t over tighten the faucet adapter since it is made of plastic.
2. Turn off the valve on the gravel tube before turn on the faucet.
3. Empty water out of gravel tube before storing it, or it may get mildewed.
4. If you want to vacuum with acceptable suction, you need to fully open the faucet. To save water, you can turn off faucet once you have a stable vacuum. However, gravel cleaning requires the faucet fully open.
5. If the faucet has a sprayer or filter head, you need to unscrew that before screwing the connector onto the faucet.
6. When you are draining the water from the tank, the water flow assembly valve should be open. Please close the vacuum tube valve at first. After you open the faucet, you can open the vacuum valve.
7. The sink you are using should be level with or lower than the tank.
Question:Regular pumps don’t work well. I believe because my tank is on the ground and not elevated. Will this one have the same issue ?
Answer: How high or low your tank is doesn't matter, its the pressure of your water what makes the suction of the pump work when vacuuming. If the pressure is low the suction will be low.

Question:Can the filter screen be removed from the gravel tube?
Answer: I bought this vacuum a couple of months ago and have not seen a way to remove the screen. It’s really not a screen but a built in piece of plastic with pretty large holes. I just rinse out the debris. I don’t really think anything could get trapped in there. It’s a very simple design. I love it.

Question:Does the valve on the gravel tube stop the water flow?
Answer: Yes it does have a shut off at the gravel tube. But as long as you are sucking the water out. The suction will keep it in the tank.
